A dynamic and powerful aerial abstract, this image captures a moment of dramatic interaction at Yarra Yarra Lakes.

From the top, a powerful 'alluvial fan' of white and pink-hued salt cascades downward, like a glacier or a river in flood. This 'flow' collides with the stark, linear barrier of a red-earth track, a road that stubbornly cuts through the wild landscape. Blocked by the track, the salt fans out, its energy redirected, while red-earth channels bleed into the lower half of the frame.

This is an energetic and high-contrast print, a testament to the raw, geological forces of the outback and the human desire to tame it.
