This striking aerial from Yarra Yarra Lakes is a powerful study in contrasting textures, a meeting point of two distinct geological 'bodies.'
On the left, a vast, pale lemon-white expanse of dried mud is defined by a delicate, web-like pattern of cracks. This brittle, ancient surface meets a darker, flowing 'river' of grey silt and minerals. The two are joined by a fine, rust-orange channel that 'bleeds' from the silt into the cracked earth, creating a dynamic focal point.
This print is a compelling, high-contrast abstract that captures the raw, geological forces at play. A sophisticated and earthy piece for a modern collection.
