A bold, high-contrast abstract captured from 2,000ft over the braided rivers of New Zealand's Lake Tekapo. This print is a powerful study in division and natural geometry.
From the charter plane, the landscape is transformed. A sharp, dark 'spit' of earth or black sand juts into the frame, creating a stark 'Split' in the river. This dark, linear form divides two 'rivers' of the lake's world-famous water, which gets its incredible, opaque, milky-blue colour from 'glacial flour'—fine rock particles suspended from the Southern Alps.
This is a modern, graphic, and high-impact piece, a minimalist statement of raw, elemental forces colliding.
